Please consider buying American Products from American Owned Companies.
Are you OK with America's $2 BILLION per DAY trade deficit? Every foreign product purchased contributes to it. We are selling off America piece-by-piece and jeopardizing our future. Read more in the Main Discussion, Top Deficit Countries and FAQ #1 pages.
What is American?
What's "American" can be debated, but a product is truly American if the following 3 components are true. See FAQ #2 for more discussion and examples.
- American Owned Company
- If it's American owned, then the profits come home.
- If it's American owned, most often the majority of highly skilled labor is American (Management, Design and Engineering). See FAQ #2 for examples.
- If it's American owned, then Americans have control and the decision making authority. See the Main Discussion for more.
- Designed and Engineered in America
- Employment of Highly Skilled Labor
- Assembled in America
- Employment of Low Skilled Labor
Remember, when your neighbor's job goes overseas:
- They're no longer earning a wage to purchase your product or service.
- They're no longer contributing to the U.S. tax base.
- They're no longer developing skills to keep our industry and country strong.

What needs to be done?
-
AMERICAN CONSUMER (INCL. BUSINESS): Consider American products first for your purchases.
-
AMERICAN WORKERS: We need to be competitive with the worldwide workforce for quality, productivity and creativity. Our wages may be forced to be competitive over time. See FAQ #5 for more.
-
AMERICAN UNIONS AND COMPANIES: Need to implement environments which encourage and enable workers to be competitive worldwide.
- AMERICAN GOVERNMENT:
- FREE TRADE: Replace Free Trade with FAIR TRADE! See FAQ #3 for more.
- TAX STRUCTURE:
- Include tax rebates for U.S. companies when exporting. (All or most other countries have this in place to encourage exporting goods)
- Close the tax benefit loophole that companies get when outsourcing jobs.
- HEALTH CARE: U.S. government needs to remove the health care cost burden on U.S. companies which our foreign competitors do not have. Ford and GM site $1200 to $1500 of each vehicle sold go toward health care costs.
- EDUCATION: Ensure world class education system from kindergarten through college to provide a competitive workforce.
- CIVIL JUSTICE REFORM: Contain an out of control legal system fueled by self interested lawyers. See Links page for more.
